I drew it while I was thinking about the fact that nothing is happening unless there’s a person for it to happen to and how fascinating it is that two people experiencing the same happenings will have completely different perceptions of what “happened.”
And about the fact that if we inquire even just a little bit, we can find that this “person” we believe ourselves to be is just the particular collection of memory and imagination we’re most interested in – just a dream we decide is solid and true and real and unchanging. It’s consciousness having fun identifying with that dream to have the experience as a separate being, enjoying all sorts – sublime to horrifying - of ‘happenings.’
And here are a few new abstracts (: (Yes, if you look closely at the bottom of each image, you can, indeed, see my legs, clad in leopard-print pajamas.)
This is the left half of the painting below. I thought it might be cool to have a really busy side and a really simple side. Not sure what the "simple side" is going to look like, ultimately. I may even white out what's there and start over.
